hey guys ...here a thing do u all realise when u start ur ford engine in the early mornin when the engine had start than after bout several second only than the oil pressure lights goes off..... than i realise its bad ...so i did some research on the net and some books on our ford engine and this is what i found out......cause escort engines are famous in oil pump breakdown...

"UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS, THE ONLY TIME A BREAKDOWN IN LUBRICATION OCCURS IS WHEN THE ENGINE IS FIRST STARTED IN THE MORNING.THE CRANKSHAFT SITS ON THE BEARING UNTIL A WEDGE OF OIL IS REESTABLISHED AFTER PRESSURIZED OIL REACHES THE BEARING. A FEW SECONDS CAN PASS BEFORE THE ENGINE'S OIL PUMP CAN DISTRIBUTE OIL TO THE ENTIRE ENGINE. DURING THIS CONDITION, ITS CALLED "DRY START", PARTS CAN RUB AND WEAR IN RESULTS.T HE AMOUNT OF WEAR THAT HAPPEN DURING THIS SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME IS EQUIVALENT TO THAT CAUSED BY HUNDREDS OF MILES OF FREEWAY DRIVING......

Than i came up wit an idea ...i realise my dad cust classic like jaguar alfas and fiat ....the engine only starts when the oil pressure lights goes off at the dash.....so even durin driving if ur oil pump gives way the engine will dies off......its good if u guys are usin performance parts which cost a bomb .....if the oil pump gives way while driving in freeway than the engine is gone if u cont driving in 30 sec......

it requires a bit of wiring .....i ve done it to my car the only feedback is dat in the early mornin u have to crank the engine till the light goes off.....which i think i good haha.....any 1 wana join me doin this......RM30.00 for the wiring.....if u guys wana increase 15psi on the standard oil pump pressure its only ....RM 150.00...or u can buy from burton which is $$$$$$ ..woot

so skrg ni wiring tu ko buat engine hanya akan crank until the oil pump dah reach sampai head baru start keta? huhuhu. nak buat mcmmana, original ford fuel and oil pump using mechanically (also distributor). kalau guna electric oil pump mesti mahal kan.

pakai semi or fully synthetic bole membantu kan?

pakai balik original pump....i just buat wiring so dat the engine will only start when the oil press light in the dash goes off......kalau macam biasa engine dah start pun oill press light akan nyala for few second.....macam ni damage la engine...... basiclly saya buat coil akan cut off if no oil pressure so engine x hidup.....ikut macam jaguar , alfa, fiat punya system la....

electric oil pump x pernah dengar....electric water pump ada banyak tapi mahal ....
