guys guess wat i've found while cleanin up the store at my dad shop
x-cross flow 285 race cam....also a set of pinto spark plugs.....lucky me ....but the sad thin is dat .....since its a push rod engine ...must remove the engine from the car ,remove the timing cover haiz lots more damn leceh.....i think i might fit it in 6 month time

takyah remove pun boleh. kena gamble bole keluar dari depan grille tu (jack engine tinggi2 sket). tapi follower tu dulu aku hold pakai magnet kalau tak dia ter'drop' dalam oil sump haha

Hi guys,

Need some advise, i got X/Crossflow A8 Kent Cam (3H 32 85) + Valve. Any major mod for valve, piston and head? If on Burton web said that required major mod, this cam actualy how many deg?

1st of all A8 is not KENT CAM......A series cam are the old cosworth profile which their design lest lift but long duration ......anyway are u planing to race ur escort cause this cam is full race camshaft.....power band is from 5,500-9,500 RPM !!!...... which means below 5,500 RPM ur car will be runin like crap(sorry)...... but if u still wana use it .....u need to do alot af mod to get 100% out of the cam..... which include steel crankshaft,forged steel conrod,forged steel piston.... these steel item is requried cos ur engine will be runin at 9500 RPM wit this cam wit the original cast it might break.....u cant use the standard head ....unless its been port by some sifu....on the standard head the max inlet valve diameter is 41.5 mm...wat the diameter of the valve.....it requires some good engenering works......webber 45-48 is a must.....hey i might be wrong sometimes cos usually the company doesn't give out technical information on how to build engine more specfically....the info i source is from the net by some owner whos had already fitted these cams.....its better to stick to either kent or piper cams...their idle better and its not so thirsty on the fuel

omg i also planing to use a datsun L16 crankshast......my dads fren can do but expensive ...cos not many ppl can cut crankshaft journal.....cos the machine to cut is expensive....eh y not u come over....we can talk abt this....oh yea i forget....u need duplex (twin sporket) timing kit as well......
